Friends of Kratom and TTA Power Plants, THE TIME HAS COME to DEFEND KRATOM!
On Feb 18 the CA Senate Health Committee will begin hearings on AB 1088, a Bill that could protect Kratom from the heavy-handed CDPH actions. This is our opportunity to make a difference on behalf of Kratom – an herb that has made such a difference in all of our lives!
Options:
1. Submit written support:
- Go to: https://calegislation.lc.ca.gov/Advocates/faces/index.xhtml
- Click the “Create an account” link in the Sign In box (or “Registration” in the How Do I Get Started area)
- Select No and No
- Follow the steps (you address isn’t required but may add more legitimacy)
- Once you register, the system will generate a password and email it to you. Upon your first sign in you will need to set a new password.
- Enter “1088” in the Measure section
- Click “Search”
- Select the Senate Committee: Health
- Click “Support” and enter your perspective. (The “Submit a letter instead” option allows you to upload a document from Word or similar – which allows for more formatting – up to you!)
Note: consider writing a draft and feeding it through AI and ask it to revise for readability. This is one of AI’s great offerings currently. Hopefully the Committee will get many submissions so brevity and readability will be of value.
2. Attend in person
If you’re available, making your voice heard in person is of high value. I’ve never done this, so I can’t offer much guidance. But I’m going to try to get there for this!

Some thoughts:
- A bit of “To the honorable members of the Senate Health Committee” goes a long way toward making a desired impact. Remember these Senators are our allies!
- Speaking to the benefit you’ve received from Kratom is key. Perhaps also the stress of if the CDPH were able to continue with this action.
